What Anger, Jealousy, and Anxiety Are Trying to Tell You
Your most uncomfortable feelings are often your most honest ones

When negative emotions surface around someone you love, it’s easy to turn on yourself — “I’m too sensitive,” “I’m being ridiculous.” But anger, jealousy, and anxiety aren’t character flaws. They’re information.

Take jealousy. Watching your partner laugh easily with someone at work and feeling that familiar tightness in your chest — underneath that feeling is usually something like “I want to feel seen by you” or “I’m not sure I’m a priority.” Jealousy isn’t an attack on the other person. It’s a signal about what you need.

Anger works the same way. When a promise gets pushed aside again and you feel that flash of frustration, what’s underneath is often “my time matters” or “I want to feel chosen.” Losing your temper and then feeling ashamed afterward is common — but the anger itself isn’t the problem. It’s a voice saying something important isn’t being heard.

This month’s tarot card is the Four of Wands — a scene of celebration, warmth, and belonging. That sense of ease and safety doesn’t come from suppressing what you feel. It comes from understanding it.

Anxiety is the last piece. “Why do I spiral when they’re slow to reply?” More often than not, it’s not really about the other person — it’s an old fear resurfacing. A memory of being left, being too much, being not enough. That memory makes the present feel more threatening than it is.

Next time a difficult feeling comes up, try asking: what is this actually telling me? That small pause can change everything.
